A women’s harmony singing group
Monday evenings | 7pm–9pm | £8 per session
Sessions run in blocks of approximately 4–8 weeks, with pay-as-you-go booking.
Making Waves is a welcoming singing group for women who enjoy singing together and exploring the joy of harmony. Led by Gill Burton, the group sings songs with meaning that bring us joy, exploring a diverse repertoire of musical styles and songs from a variety of cultures.
Sessions focus on the pleasure of singing together, discovering beautiful harmonies and connecting with music that resonates with us. It’s an opportunity to explore different musical traditions, learn new songs and enjoy the uplifting experience of making music as part of a group.

Making Waves regularly takes part in Singing for Water and welcomes specialist singing leaders who deliver exciting workshops for everyone to enjoy, including Roxane Smith and Helen Chadwick. These sessions offer opportunities to explore new styles, develop singing skills and experience the joy of creating music together.
Women of all singing abilities and experience are welcome, including those who have never sung in a group before. You don’t need to read music or have previous singing experience – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go!
