Volume Up! is an artist development programme supporting the next generation of musical talent in the area.
Through group workshops, 1 to 1 mentoring from industry professionals and access to music creation facilities – Volume Up provides valuable artist support to emerging musicians who are actively pursuing careers in the music industry.
What our previous participants found helpful from the Volume Up program:
- Being able to attend the studio sessions and take part in instrumental lessons – (Sophie – Singer/Songwriter)
- The group discussions about the industry and giving each other feedback – (Zak – Musician)
- Music production sessions as I got to learn hands-on. I’ve learnt quite a lot from this. (Michael – Producer/DJ)
- My favourite part was the support I received in making my own song sound more authentic because I understood how to apply it to future projects, and it gave me a glimpse into the inner-workings of an expert musician at work. (Jimi – Producer/Singer )
- Freestyle sessions with Rob – has opened my vocabulary up and techniques for learning how to freestyle. (Cieran – Rapper/Producer)
- Talking to Thabo about music and his advice/experiences was an absolute amazing part of the course – (Mason – Musician)
- DJ lessons were ace as I couldn’t have afforded them otherwise. The recording session was amazing too, as I would have struggled to afford that also. (Anna DJ/Singer)
- The most useful part of the course was being around like-minded people. The cause enabled me to meet others who share the same passion for music and want to develop a career in the music industry. (Sanchez – Rapper)
